I am running on an I7 4810mq with 16gb ram and an 870m which is equal to a 770-780. It is installed to an external hard drive. Myproblem occurred here when I had to cancel it twice because it got stuck at 90%. When it finally decided that it'd complete, I needed to proceed to download the 2.3gb update. Problem is, it never showed up resulting in me having to reinstall it ones more so it could actually appear. Sorry for the necro; but ive gone into the config and also seen 'DistanceLOD=0' the one below 'MaxNPCLODLevel=5' I'm guessing 2 or 5 will work. Ialso had similar issue (Nvidita GTX 1660 TI). Whenever I entered water, 10-20 sec and the game crashes. This was everytime, if for example I went somewhere else, it was working ok, so the issue was with the water indeed. Updated the drivers to 531.58 and everything now is OK.
